      Are there any ongoing costs once I've qualified?

      After the first year, maintaining your instructor membership with British Nordic Walking is optional. We don’t charge additional fees, nor do we require you to pay commission or any part of your income. You’re free to work independently as an instructor, but staying involved with British Nordic Walking can open doors to added benefits and opportunities.

      • Insurance You’ll need appropriate insurance to teach, which you can get through our scheme or other providers.
      • First Aid Certification A valid first aid certificate is required and must be renewed every three years. This training is widely available across the UK.
      • Optional: Attend CPD courses and our annual convention to boost your skills—these are encouraged but not compulsory.
