Join Katie Atkins for a transformative course designed to equip instructors with the tools to engage children and teens in Nordic Walking. As INWA Lead for Children’s Education and a seasoned educator with over 26 years of teaching experience, Katie combines her expertise in physical literacy and Nordic walking instruction.

The course covers behaviour management, safeguarding, and curriculum-aligned strategies for different age groups (8-18 years). Participants gain practical skills to confidently teach in schools, community settings, and beyond. Unlock new opportunities to inspire the next generation through Nordic Walking!

The course is made up of a self-guided online unit (approximately 6 hours), followed by a 2 hour Zoom session with course leader Katie. You will then meet for one day face to face session to put your learning into practice.
The course is delivered in three parts:

Self-paced learning via the on-line INWA Academy portal : 6 hours: This will be available from the Monday 27th October and must be completed by Zoom meeting

A 2 hour in-person on-line seminar held on zoom: This will be on Thursday 6th November 7- 9pm

One day in person training session : In Yarnfield, Staffordshire : Sunday 16th November 9.00am - 5 pm
In addition, you will receive a comprehensive resource pack to support the in-person training sessions.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive INWA Certification for the Teaching of Nordic Walking For Children and Teens.
