Rosie Dakin - Bridgford Nordic Walking
I got into Nordic Walking from my day job working in the NHS as a Therapist with amputees,‘ LimbPower’ a charity who support amputees in getting active. They wanted to try Nordic Walking with our patients, this went down very well and I was asked if I wanted to learn how to teach it, I totally enjoyed the training and now love teaching it.
I enjoy helping people get fitter and more active. It is gentle on your joints, improves posture and gait and suitable for any age also those recovering from knee and hip surgery it’s an all over body workout which can be practiced all year round.
What’s on offer? (What do we or I offer):
Nordic Walking lessons for beginners or those wanting to improve their technique. I like to train on a local field in West Bridgford but also love going for walks in surrounding areas which are very beautiful and with suitable terrain.
I am a qualified British Nordic Walking instructor 2019, I am also qualified Gym instructor and Personal Trainer with over 20 years of working in the NHS.
