Rachel is based in Ilkeston in Derbyshire, just a 5 minute walk from the Nottinghamshire border.

What's on Offer?

• Regular weekly Nordic Walking classes
• one to one Nordic Walking sessions
• Nordic Walking “taster” sessions for groups

Regular classes take place on

Tuesdays at 10.30am from Victoria Leisure Centre car park in Ilkeston

Thursdays at 10.00am from the old Pewit Golf Club car park in Ilkeston 

About Rachel

Rachel is an INWA qualified Nordic Walking Instructor offering a range of Nordic Walking activities.

My Story 

I have been Nordic walking, on and off, for about 12 years now. I trained to become an instructor after being approached by Erewash Village Games. I  currently run 2 weekly classes in Ilkeston.  Private lessons are also available on a group or individual basis.

I have also helped to teach Nordic Walking to groups of school children, adults with learning disabilities and our local Air Cadets.  As a member of the Scout movement I am fully DBS checked and  have also taught Cubs and Explorer Scouts.

I love being in the outdoors and find that Nordic Walking is a great way to meet new people and have fun while exercising. Personally, I have also found it to be a great way of helping and maintaining weight loss.
