What's on offer?
Karen and her team at Barefoot Studio offer a range of Nordic Walking activities:

• Learn to Nordic Walk workshops
• Regular weekly Nordic Walking classes
• one to one sessions Nordic Walking sessions
• Nordic Walking Weight management courses
• Group days out

Our regular weekly classes are on Monday's at 6:30pm and Wednesday's at 10:30am.

About Karen

Karen is a qualified INWA Nordic Walking Instructor and a National Coach. She is also a Pilates teacher with a specialism in lower back pain. She runs regular Nordic Walking Instructor courses for British Nordic Walking as part of the Karen Ingram Academy

My story
I've been Nordic Walking since 2006. I love being outdoors and sharing the countryside with others. For me Nordic walking has been a big part of my journey to sort out an on-going lower back problem. Nordic Walking gently taught me to move my spine in the correct way when walking and has really helped to improve my walking posture. I'm now pain free and love not just Nordic walking but also racing and endurance events.

General Information:

British Nordic Walking Instructors are qualified members of INWA, the International Nordic Walking Federation. There are Nordic Walking instructors all over the UK offering everything from Nordic Walking classes, Learn to Nordic Walk workshops, Nordic Walking days out, Nordic walking holidays, personal training, one to one Nordic Walking sessions, to community Nordic Walking groups. British Nordic Walking requires all its instructors to stay up to date with their qualifications so you can be assured of a positive experience with any of our Instructors. Our instructors teach using the INWA 10 step method of learning Nordic Walking, an easy to follow progression to help you master the technique of Nordic Walking. Many of our instructors are also Exel pole retailers and can help you to source and get the right Nordic walking pole for you.
